Jermaine Bell was gearing up to celebrate an upcoming birthday at Walt Disney World but decided to open a free hot dog stand for evacuees.
For most children, a trip to Disneyland is nothing short of magical. No kid gives up the opportunity to visit the Magic Kingdom, and Jermaine Bell was gearing up to celebrate an upcoming birthday at Walt Disney World. The 6-year-old from Allendale saved up enough money to take his family on a trip to the Animal Kingdon in Florida. But he changed his mind: instead of using the money to fund his trip, Jermaine decided to donate the money to help Hurricane Dorian evacuees.
Jermaine Bell was supposed to spend his seventh birthday at Disney World. He'd saved up money, but after Hurricane Dorian, he emptied his piggy bank to buy hundreds of hot dogs and serve them for free to evacuees passing through his South Carolina town. https://t.co/Mbqc5QdW3U

FOX News reports that Jermain used his trip savings to buy hundreds of hot dogs and serve it to the displaced citizens who were passing through their South Carolina town. The warm-hearted 6-year-old opened a hot dog stand along the side of a busy road which offered free water, franks, chips, and prayers to those escaping the stormy coast.
Jermaine told local news channels that he wanted to make sure that the people who were traveling to other places had food to eat so that they could enjoy the ride to the place they were going to. The 6-year-old served over a hundred evacuees on his first day manning the stand over the Labor Day weekend. As per reports, he has served ‘a lot’ more since then.
When Jermaine Bell heard Dorian's potential path shifted to his state he wanted to help those affected. He used his birthday $ that he was saving up for Disney to help evacuees. At just 6yo, he's so compassionate! DISNEY SHOULD make his dreams come true! https://t.co/1w7Y3GXIb3

The sweet 6-year-old’s grandmother Aretha Grant told news channels that she was washed with pride when she saw her grandson pray with a family who was not sure if their home would survive Hurricane Dorian. “I am very proud,” she said. “We knew Jermaine was very special, but we didn’t know he was special in this way to be such a giver like this.”
As for Jermaine, the spry little guy caught a case of charity and doesn’t plan on stopping his free food service any time soon. He said that the food supply will run strong until the evacuees are safely back home.
