Usually, when people look at pictures of themselves from a decade ago, they all tend to notice the same sort of things. Their weight changes a bit, their skin shows a little more sign of wear, and their features look – how can I put this gently? – rather more mature. Basically, they get older. That is unless those people happen to be Wendy Joseph and Dan Hennessey from New Jersey, who somehow look younger (and hotter) now than they did a whole decade ago.
The couple, who began dating in 2007, posted a picture of their 10-year glow-up on Instagram, and the difference stunned everyone. Joseph, who is 29, says she “used to have a perm and wear [her] hair stuck to [her] face every day”. Meanwhile, 30-year-old Hennessey used to keep his ru-gged facial hair in check by shaving once a week.
Now, however, Joseph has d!tched the chemical straightening and embraced her gorgeous natural hair, and Hennessey sports a full-on caveman look. Oh, and they’re both personal trainers, so they’ve got rockin’ bods. So, with a little change in their hairstyles, a healthy diet, and exercise regime, and – let’s be fair here – some much better lighting, these two went from being a slightly dorky (but cute) boyfriend and girlfriend to a near-mythical looking power couple.
And this is how they looked at the end of 2017: However, despite her enviable figure, Joseph revealed that she hasn’t always been happy with how she looks. Like many people, the 29-year-old has been through somebody’s confidence issues, and at times had struggled with her weight. Fortunately for her, Hennessey has always reassured her that she is beautiful, and has stuck by her side for ten years.
“He has been there for me no matter what. Literally,” she said. “No matter what. He has cared and cherished me through thick and thin. Literally. I’ve been thick and thin. Mostly thick but I love it so he loves it.” Now that the post has started to gain some traction on the internet, tons of people are flo-cking to comment on the couple’s seemingly impossible transformation.
One commenter said, “Did you both age in reverse?? What fountain of youth are you dr!nking from??” “You wanna tell me how you aged backward? You guys make such a cute couple, had to follow you both,” wrote another.One user even joked that Joseph had gone from looking like a mother to her own daughter, asking: “Why does it look like he’s dating the mom in the left and the daughter On the right?”
No matter how different they look, though, it’s wonderful to see that they are still as in love together now as they were when they were barely out of their teenage years. I’m sure their active lifestyles are what is keeping them looking so young, but perhaps just a little bit of that youthful glow comes from the happiness they share together.
